Its main objective is to determine
the existence and location of any face object(s)
in a digital image file.
FDS depends on classifiers to determine whether
a face object, as accurately as possible,
exists in an image. Classifiers are,
basically, special sets of data obtained
by sampling hundreds to thousands sets of human faces.
It cab be integrated with VSS to determine face regions
on a video in real-time. Keyframes, generated by the VSS,
are processed by FDS. The keyframes will be
filtered by a series of filters in FDS.
The filters are created, using special algorithms,
from the data taken from classifiers.
A face object is determined to exist,
if a keyframe passes successfully through
each and every stage of the filters. FDS will then
generate, according to the results, a set of results
files. The results files, can then be viewed or edited
in a user-friendly manner, using the
VFS Viewer.
